Arthur Jarvis University is thrilled to announce the upcoming Students Week, scheduled from Monday, 17th – 23rd June 2024. This week promises to be a vibrant celebration filled with a variety of activities designed to engage, entertain, and unite our university community. Below is an overview of the events planned for each day:
Monday, June 17th
➢ Picnic & Games of Skills (Afternoon 12pm – 3pm): Student week kick off with a delightful picnic set in the university scenic grounds. This day is all about relaxation and friendly competition. Student can enjoy an array of games that test their skills, from traditional board games to modern skills challenges. It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind, mingle, and make new friends.
Tuesday, June 18th
➢ Interfaculty Volleyball & Football Tournament: Cheer on your faculty as they battle it out on the volleyball and football fields. This tournament fosters friendly competition and school spirit as faculties vie for the championship title.
➢ Old School Day (Morning 10am): Step back in time and embrace the styles and vibes of past decades. Dress up in your favorite retro outfits and enjoy a nostalgic day on campus.
➢ Old School Party (Evening 7pm – 10pm): The day culminates in a lively party celebrating all things old school. Dance to classic hits and enjoy a night of retro fun with your peers.
Wednesday, June 19th
➢ Spoken Words, Poetry, Public Speaking (Evening 5pm): Experience the power of words as students showcase their talents in spoken word performances, poetry readings, and public speaking. This event is a celebration of creativity and eloquence, providing a platform for expressive voices.
➢ Movie Night (Evening 7pm – 9pm): Unwind with a cinematic experience under the stars. Grab some popcorn and settle in for a movie screening that promises to entertain and captivate.
Thursday, June 20th
➢ Football Match (Morning 10am): Get ready for an exhilarating football match as students take to the field. This is a great opportunity to display athletic prowess and enjoy the camaraderie of team sports.
➢ Cultural Day (Afternoon 12pm): Celebrate the rich diversity of our university community with Cultural Day. Enjoy performances, displays, and food from various cultures represented at AJU. It’s a day of learning, sharing, and celebrating our multicultural tapestry.
Friday, June 21st
➢ AJU Marathon (Morning 10am): Lace up your running shoes and join the AJU Marathon. Whether you’re running for fun or aiming for a personal best, this event encourages fitness and perseverance.
➢ RAVE (Evening 6pm): As the sun sets, the campus will transform into a pulsating RAVE. Dance the night away to the beats of live DJs and enjoy an electric atmosphere of lights and music.
Saturday, June 22nd
➢ Mr. & Miss AJU + Award Night (Evening 5pm): Witness the glamour and excitement of the Mr. & Miss AJU pageant, followed by the presentation of awards. This event highlights the beauty, talent, and achievements of our students. It’s a night of celebration and recognition.
Sunday, June 23rd
➢ Thanksgiving Service: Conclude Student Week with a heartfelt Thanksgiving Service. Join us as we reflect on the week’s events, express gratitude, and seek blessings for the future.
