We witnessed history on Wednesday, the 27th of March, 2025, as our maiden Induction/Oath-Taking Ceremony for Medical Laboratory Science graduates took place in grand style! It was a day of honor, professionalism, & celebration as our graduates officially joined the noble profession of Medical Laboratory Science.

From the inspiring induction lecture by Prof. Iya Eze-Bassey to the charge and prayer of dedication, every moment was filled with purpose and pride. The presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. M.F. Useh (Chairman of the Occasion), Prof. Paul C. Inyangetoh (Dean, Faculty of MLS, Unical), Mr. Dennis Ekpo (Chairman, AMLSN, CRS Chapter), Dr. Asemota Enosakhare A. (Chairman, GMLD), and many more, made the event truly remarkable.
To our newly inducted Medical Laboratory Scientists, congratulations! As you step into this field, may you uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and excellence. The world is counting on you to be the unseen heroes behind accurate diagnostics and quality healthcare.

Also, I wanted to suggest something based on the fact that the Registrar hinted that she, the VC and Chancellor wants to have a meeting with us based on populating the website as according to them, it is empty. I want to suggest that you please send me links to any update you make on the website and I, in turn, would share the link with the caption “Website updated”. The same way I share links to every social media post I share. No more can accuse me of not handling the social media well, because it is all in their faces all the time. I think if we are proactive to share every update after every event, then they would no longer assume that the website is not being populated. It would be in their faces all the time. My suggestion. In fact, to make things easier, at the point of updating, just copy the link and forward it to me on Whatsapp and I would take it up from there. I was also accused of not seeking partnerships for the institution until I started copying them in every partnership request email I sent. I think this too would work. Thanks in anticipation.
