Are you considering providing geo-solutions to problems, adding value, or seeking a career relating to natural resource development, Infrastructural development, and environmental protection? Then, you are welcome to the Department of Earth Sciences in Arthur Jarvis University.
Earth sciences unveil the history, processes, and the interactions of the earth with all abiotic and to some extent, biotic resources of the ecosystem. This makes the Department of inestimable relevance in National Development as it opens-up our students to a bank of opportunities/industries in oil and gas exploration, environmental protection/Natural hazard management or prediction, earthwork constructions, water resource development, and Educational development. We train our students to become resourceful, employable, and enterprising specialist in geology and Geophysics by exposing them to geo-scientific softwares, field mapping exercises, skills, and knowledge in groundwater investigation/modelling, geological, seismic, and geotechnical log interpretations and conferences.
Sequel to these trainings, some of our graduates are currently under the employ of fast growing Oil and Gas firms while others have been shortlisted for international scholarships. All our programmes in the Department (specifically Geology and Geophysics) have been fully accredited by the National University Commission (NUC). We are tirelessly committed in building on these successes; hence, we are willing to admit students who are passionate about our core values of commitment, integrity and excellence.
